If you are wondering how to prepare a canvas, here is the way I do it! You need is a canvas board that is not prepared with the gesso. You also need gesso in white. I used a frame I had done and wrapped it in canvas fabric material. Sometimes if you guy a canvas it comes prepared with the gesso. I tinted my white gesso with acrylic paint in brown and in orange. You don't need to tint it though.
