Happy New Year 2012!

You guessed it, orange you glad? This years color of 2012 is an orange-red. This color is so vibrant and full of energy. I myself have 2 blouses in my closet. I can't wait to wear them. ..::: Vintage Painted Canvas :::..

Hey guys,

If you are wondering how to prepare a canvas, here is the way I do it! You need is a canvas board that is not prepared with the gesso. You also need gesso in white. I used a frame I had done and wrapped it in canvas fabric material. Sometimes if you guy a canvas it comes prepared with the gesso. I tinted my white gesso with acrylic paint in brown and in orange. You don't need to tint it though.

..::: Recycle Candle Jars :::..

Hello ladies,

I admit! I'm a Scented Candle Addict!!! I have so many candles at home. Lately I find that a candle in a jar is perfect. I stash it away in my little candle shelf out of site when I don't use them. I have many different scents and colors. I usually leave one candle in each room for a week and then switch them out. I put them on my candle shelf and take out the next scent I want to use or color. It's mainly aroma I feel like enjoying is what makes them get lit. 

Once the candle is just about to finish I keep my keen eyes on it. I have had a couple of jars crack to be thrown away later on. What am I going to do with a cracked glass jar? I haven't found it useful just yet. Maybe some has an idea on what to do with it. At the mean time, I recycle the jars. Wash and disinfect the jars and the lid also. Leave the lid off for a couple of days.  Make sure the jar and the lid don't have the scent because if you store any type of food in the jar you don't want it to have a funky taste to it.

Re-use the jars, either to store something or place a scented candle that comes without a jar surrounding it. You can use it to store so many things, like buttons, small clips, pebbles, sugar, packets of sugar, etc. Why not contribute with our majestic planet and recycle them. Heck, if you don't want to use them then give them away to someone who wants it. I'm recycling my empty candle jars contributing to our majestic planet and  saving a buck or two by not going out to buy an empty jar at the store.

..::: Christmas Inspired Doughnut :::..

Hey guys,

I have been eating healthier for a few months now and have slimmed down a lot of lbs.  I eat healthy during the week and can give myself a little treat. Today, I was surprised by my hubby bringing the kids and I some delish doughnuts. I only had one, and guess witch one? Oh yeah, the Christmas Inspired striped doughnut. The doughnut is a glazed one, but kicked up a notch by it's festive decor.

I'm off to see a friend, enjoy nature and a Christmas activity that will be held.
